Can please descibe exactly what you did when Kontact crashed? Or did it crash immediately when opening the settings dialog? What are the steps to reproduce this? Please install kdepim-dbg, kdelibs-dbg and the qt-dbg packages to get a backtrace. I had changed a setting in calendar settings then moved to another application, i.e. kontact lost focus then later crashed a short while later. HTH ed. Looks like the same as bug #167386.
