Description Olivier Vitrat 2007-03-17 02:05:12 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

This has been reported in Debian BTS at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=415121

Frequently I save a mail messages, from within kmail, to the hard disk.
When I try to view any of them I am prompted by "Open with..." and no
application is recommended. Also the saved message has the icon of
an unknown application, although in the thumbnail preview it is written
that it is a mailbox message. Usually I have to select kmail from the
list of all applications, to open the file. I think that the icon should
be that of a mail message (with the @) and that the file should
automatically open (or at least recommend opening) with kmail.

Two separate issues here:
1. The icon for mime-type "MBOX mail message" should be changed (wishlist for artwork)
2. KMail should associate itself with this mimetype (wishlist for kmail)
