Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

Embeded konsole in Konquerror is great feature. But Dolphin is much better as filemanager, I'm using embeded konsole for operating on files mostly. It would be great if "embeded konsole in Dolphin" could be possible as an *option* for users.

I see it as "plugin"... In properties, in section Plugins (similar to Digikam) I could turn on/off embeded konsole or some other extra options if there will be in Dolphin.

Thanks for the input, it is planned to have an embedded konsole in Dolphin for KDE 4.0. Hope we can do it during within the schedule :-)

Implemented in the SVN version now (although the implementation as such is not final)
Comment 3 Peter Penz 2007-05-17 23:00:19 UTC
Works now quite well :-)

Hi,
thanks for this implementation but unfortunately View>>Panels>>Terminal has no shortcut for opening terminal. Also I can't add action to toolbar witch will open terminal/emulation of terminal. In Konqueror(KDE3) I could add this button. It was usefull. Could you extend this?

This would appear to be fixed in KDE 4.0.

1. The shortcut to show or hide the terminal is F4.
2. A toolbar action to show or hide the terminal can be added using Settings -> Configure Toolbars.
