I'd love the ability to be able to back up my feeds, or save them as XML so that I can import them into another computer, or restore feeds I've already downloaded after a system failure.

I'd also like to be able to merge feeds (However if feeds could be exported to XML, I can do that manually).

Actually you can import/export all your feed from akregator.
