Description Olivier Vitrat 2007-03-12 16:24:36 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

This has been reported in Debian BTS at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=386286

I have used the KMenuEdit application (via the KDE Control Panel) to
add a few items to my applications menu. I have some top-level items
and a couple of folders (e.g., "Emacsen," "VNCs") containing
additional items.

In KHelpcenter, the folder items (e.g., "Emacsen," "VNCs") are
inappropriately listed as categories of Application Manuals.

Doing this might make sense if there were any provision in KMenuEdit
to associate a menu item with a specified application manual. Even if
this feature is expected to be implemented in the near future,
however, Helpcenter should probably exclude empty folders (i.e.,
folders containing zero items associated with a manual), and I hope
users will be able in KMenuEdit to mark folders explicitly for
omission from the Helpcenter list.
