Description Volker Kuhlmann 2007-03-11 19:46:27 UTC
Version: 3.5.5 (using KDE 3.5.5 "release 45.2" , openSUSE 10.2)
Compiler: Target: x86_64-suse-linux
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.18.2-34-default

konqueror always times out when accessing https://authorproof.ieee.org/
wireshark shows data goes out but no response from the server ever comes back
in. firefox or wget have no problems, so the problem is not with my LAN or
IEEE's server! Reproduced by others in this thread
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2007-03/msg00261.html

Turning off either SSLv2 or SSLv3 in kcontrol makes no difference.

As I don't know whether it's a SUSE-specific bug, I've also reported here https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=253424

Not SuSE-specific..

KDE 3 is no longer supported and the site shows up fine in KDE 4's Konqueror.
