Description Olivier Vitrat 2007-03-11 15:11:43 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

This has been reported in Debian BTS at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=300766

I have a working hibernate configuration (/usr/sbin/hibernate).
However, klaptop_acpi_helper seems to ignore it and always uses
sysfs directly to hibernate.

Please make it check for /usr/sbin/hibernate and if --hibernate was
passed, pretend to have received --software-suspend instead if
found.

I have personally contacted the KLaptopDaemon author/assigned and he confirmed that the tool is deprecated in KDE SC 4 (replaced by PowerDevil) and that there are no current efforts to support/maintain the KDE SC 3 version.
Because of this, I will close the reports as UNMAINTAINED.
