New feature idea.  When you configure notifications, and you see...

[ ] Play a sound: 

...there should be a complimentary option like this...

[ ] Play a sound: 
  [ ] ...except when this notification has played a sound within the
         last [___] seconds


Kopete in particular exploits this weakness by accident:  If you have
any kind of popularity, anything that creates an apparent mass
enterence or exodus, such as connecting to or disconnecting from one
or more IM networks will trigger a sudden cacophony that tends to be
quite startling at any volume.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Kcontrol has been replaced by System Settings in Plasma. Please give the latest version of that a try, and open a new bug in "systemsettings" if you continue to have an issue. Thank you!
