Description Damir Perisa 2007-02-17 14:15:27 UTC
Version: 1.9.6 (using KDE 3.5.6, Arch Linux)
Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.19-ARCH

you can set a keyboard shortcut to make messages being marked "read"

you can do the same to make them again "unread"

however, if you want to set this shortcut to be the same, kde do not allows you to do so, because every shortcut should be assigned only once.

so i suggest, we change the message-status flags (read, todo, important) as toggle instead of having shortcuts for both. one other reason is that it does not make much sense to make an already marked message with "read" to be "read" again... but instead, this same shortcut should make it unread again. same for ToDo and Important flags

Note: it could be only extra key -- switcher -- otherwise it would interfere with auto marking read.
Comment 2 Damir Perisa 2007-02-19 01:01:48 UTC
on comment 1: of course it should only be the shortcut key! it would not make much sense to toggle read<->unread every 10 seconds for a message, when automark is turned on *smile*

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
