Description Mats Ahlgren 2007-02-07 12:52:47 UTC
Version: 1.9.6 (using KDE 3.5.6 "release 25.1" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: x86_64-suse-linux
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.18.2-34-default

( This is a resurfacing of bug 54958, which the author is unavailable to reopen. )

Problem:
The sort-by-date gets set to oldest-on-top after certain random things occur.

Examples of things which will very often trigger it:
- sending an email message
- making a change to kmail settings

System info:
Using KDE 3.5.6 on SUSE 10.2, latest KMail package

Severity:
Above-average severity (very annoying, but user can adapt to viewing email upside-down)
