Description Anton Pussep 2007-01-25 17:22:47 UTC
Version: 3.5.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

When I delete categories and restart the application they appear again. I am sure that no todos use them anymore, so they are really unnecessary and this can't be the reason for them to appear again.

I know that there have been similar problems, which have often been perceived as bugs, probably it is time to think over the category management. However, in my case I really don't see any explanation for the behaviour.

Are you absolutely sure that no (also no hidden) events or todos use that
category?

At startup, the list of categories is loaded and all used categories of the
calendar are added, nothing more.

Cheers,
Reinhold

Okay, probably the events use it. But I really wouldn't like to review all events of the last 14 month and remove the categories manually. Isn't there another solution?

So this is rather a "feature request", but I'm really sorry to say that the category management is terrible...

Of which bug is this a duplicate? Thanks!

reopening to mark as invalid since we don't know what bugs these are a duplicate of.
