Description Daniel Weigl 2006-12-25 21:26:13 UTC
Version: SVN 615338 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

I switched from Amarok to JuK because Amarok is too bloated for just playing mp3s. One of my favorite feature of Amarok was to change the volume by scrolling over the Taskbar-Icon.

Juk has implemented a scroll-handler too - but scrolling leads to a song change per default in JuK. If you press [Shift]+[Scroll] the volume gets changed as with amarok.

I thought it would be good to implement a Option to swap this beahviour (and leave it per default the old way).

I have coded it already and i will submit a patch (against the recent KDE 3.5.5 SVN Version) soon. Maybe it could be included in the main trunk also.

Patch agains SVN 615338

diff'ed with "svn diff" - patch it with "patch < juk_wheel.patch" (in the
juk-directory)

This is not working in JuK 3.0 for KDE-4.0.0. It would be very nice if this feature comes back:

Changing volume
Changing song
Song seeking

Hmm, somehow I've never seen this bug or patch, but this did get implemented for KDE 4.4. Thanks for the work though. :-/
