Most probably not a bug and cannot reproduce. Most probably a defined shortcut somewhere in your configuration. Look in the Akregator shortcut settings or in the system wide shortcuts (Control Center->Region & Accessibility->Shortcuts) Created attachment 18282 [details]

This is from Akregator-1.2.3 (SuSE RPM).
In reply to comment #1: It's unlikely to be a misspecified shortcut in akregator, what kind of action would that be, anyway? It neither could be a global shortcut, no other application I tried shows this. I can confirm it when pressing ESC only (without Alt). ESC is used for Abort Fetches. The label shows up when no fetching is going on (and the action is thus disabled). If akregator is fetching, pressing ESC aborts the fetch but doesn't show the label. I suspect some sort of shortcut clash although I couldn't pin it down to specific actions ("Stop speaking" from the speech toolbar also used esc, but changing it didn't fix the problem). Maybe it has to do with our hackish action merging of the embedded HTML parts. Daniel, could you check in "Configure Shortcuts" for which actions ESC, Alt+ESC etc. are set? Here on SuSE, Akregator has "Abort Fetches" and "Stop Speaking" set to ESC. No global ones I could find. In addition, I can confirm, that it's not necessary to press [ALT] first, at least with Akregator-1.2.3. 27 Oct 2006 09:21:20 -0000, Frank Osterfeld <frank.osterfeld@kdemail.net>: [bugs.kde.org quoted mail] Confirmed here: Kubuntu Feisty, Akregator 1.2.6, no need to press alt first. No such popup in KDE 4.9.3 Esc is still the shortcut to "abort fetches" Please reopen if you can reproduce on a recent system |
