Description Amir Taaki 2006-10-25 20:17:04 UTC
Version: 0.19 #3100 (using KDE 3.5.2, Gentoo)
Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17-gentoo-r8

It should be possible to have the OSD flash for when private message events are sent.

Thanks.

May I ask in what way the existing "On query activity" checkbox in the OSD preferences does not implement that request?
Comment 2 Amir Taaki 2006-10-25 21:41:17 UTC
Ahh, didn't know that. I think the name is misleading then. Thanks.
Comment 3 Eike Hein 2006-10-25 22:57:50 UTC
Yeah, it would probably make sense to drop the "query" term (quite established on IRC, but unknown to users new to the technology) and consistently use "private conversation" or "private messages".
Comment 4 Amir Taaki 2006-10-26 11:02:34 UTC
Yep, I'd agree here that I'm not an established irc user and I sort of assumed query meant something to do with something server side or like a /whois.

Sorry for the bother and thanks for the time ;)
