Hmm, my test case seems to be incomplete. Created attachment 17821 [details]

added line-height to test case, now text overlaps in konqueror but works opera,
ie6 (wine) and firefox.
it's expected for text padding to overlap text in the previous line boxes (and be overlaped by text in succeeding line boxes). At a glance, it looks to me that the rendering is sane here. I guess the main difference is most other html engines have a smaller setting dedicated to monospaced fonts, so the padding makes less difference and wouldn't go over the 1.33em. Bottom line: wishlist => have a special setting for monospaced fonts... Fixed in KDE 4 |
