Description Cyron 2006-09-15 14:16:26 UTC
Version: 1.9.4 (using KDE 3.5.4, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.4-0ubuntu2~dapper1 )
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-26-686

I've send a message with a FDP file attached, I selected Compress Attachment and send mail.

If I want to resend the mail from the menu point of the message in the send-mails-folder the attachment is already compressed, but the check box is not checked. If I want to send the mail again, without zip compressed attachment I have to save the attachment and re add them.

Hope you can add a routine which check the compress option and if I deselect dem, should the attachment be decompressed.

This is still valid with KDEPIM 4.6 beta 5

I think this should be closed/wontfix. The checkbox is not there to say "this file is compressed" but "compress the file before sending the message".

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
