snapshot of problem web page in Konqueror
Good observation on flash --- basically, the buttons don't work because the website is still trying to talk to it, not sure why.. At least some stuff also relies on DOMContentLoaded (WTH are mozilla people using a name like that for their extension anyway?), but prolly something else... We may want to emulate it... OK, I think the real problem is that we basically don't do LiveConnect w/flash.. You can't even log into an existing Dell.com account with Kong. Creating an account is free. Go to Dell.com, create an account using FireFox. Then try to log into that account with Kong. The login screen has a button to log in,which triggers this: javascript:__doPostBack('subBtn','') However, it never does anything. John: try with different user agent (e.g. firefox), those __doPostback errors are usually result of wrongly detected browser. Same problem... Any solutions out there yet? Geocaching.com has the same problem, albeit on the profiles pages. There they also use the __doPostBack variable / function / whatever. Again, if you see an error on __doPostBack, tell konqueror to identify as mozilla. This will most likely fix the problem --- a certain version of some framework (Microsoft's Atlas, I think) simply sends us broken pages that lack that function. I tried all the Mozilla idents offered by Konqueror but none of them fixes the problem. Message from the Bugsquad and Konqueror teams: This bug is closed as outdated, as we do not have the manpower to maintain the KDE3 version anymore. If you still can reproduce this issue with Konqueror 4.8.4 or later, please open a new report. Thank you for your understanding. |
