Description atidem 2006-08-24 11:06:05 UTC
Version: 0.8.2-rc1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
Compiler: gcc version 4.0.3
OS: Linux

When I try to remove image(s) from the memories (internal or stick pro duo) of my digital camera I receive the message: "Failed to delete file(s) DSC*.JPG" (normal user or admin).
I use an USB connection (PTP). The camera is detected as Sony DSC-F707V.
The version of libgphoto2 is 2.1.6-5.2ubuntu8.
I readed also the bug #90219 but did not help me.
Thanks in advance for any answer.

The sony cameras are not able to delete images in PTP mode.

(only in mass storage mode)

I did not know that.

I discovered that the digital camera is not supported by my environment.
To use it I need to recompile new version of linux kernel (2.6.17.11).
