Description Janet 2006-08-20 20:23:13 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Well, it's difficult to describe what I mean because I don't know how to call the application :-\ but maybe you get the point: When I add own entries to KDE's automounter the window that pops up when a new device is found is too small so the buttons at the bottom of it are not shown correctly. I can drag the window edges to make it bigger but every time a new device is found the pop-up window is too small again.

window does not show buttons

look at the screenshot, I haven't cut it, the window looks like this, cut in
the middle of the buttons

And the more entries are added (by the user or by programs) and the bigger the icons are (mine are 32x32, which means only 4 entries fit into the window) the worse does the effect become: 7 entries and you cannot even see the checkbox for "remember this". Only the inner window (the white part with the icons) is being resized automatically but not the outer borders of the window. It wouldn't be a problem if the window would remember the drag-n-drop size but it really is annoying to have to resize the window everytime it pops up.

Seems to be fixed in KDE 3.5.8.
