I have created a new user with a clean kde-setup. Then I did change the following settings:

- Desktop -> Taskbar:
  Appearance: For Transparency

This results in long taking redraws when moving the mouse over several application entries in the taskbar.

also set:
- Window Behaviour -> Advanced
  Active Desktop Borders: Always enabled

This results in approx. 1/4 second of flickering when touching the desktop border right about an application entry in the taskbar. Sometimes it even takes longer. The desktop switch waits until flickering has stopped.

It would be great if this redraws could be fixed soon. Thanks, Gert.

This is a known issue. Don't really know what to do about it, though.
