Hello, What are the steps to reproduce this bug? No feedback on this for 6 months. Closing for now as it looks very much like a Qt issue reported elsewhere. Please add further comments if you are still able to reproduce the problem. Hello, The reason there has been no feedback for 6 months is because no one asked for any!!! I have not received a single e-mail until now. I would have loved to provide more information. I do not have the Dell notebook on which the problem shows up; here is some information anyway: OS: Fedora Core 5, Kernel version: 2.6.17 Boot Loader: Grub with Windows XP as the other OS Steps to reproduce the bug: Login to a new KDE session (runlevel 5) and on the KDE start menu (Alt+F1) go to 'System' and open up 'Terminal'. > The reason there has been no feedback for 6 months is because

I'm not sure what happened there, but you should have received one when I replied shortly after the bug was posted on 11/08/2006 ( see comment above )
I have looked through some of my old email and it seems that I another developer committed a patch to fix this for KDE 3.5.5
I have never been able to reproduce the problem myself, so if you could check against KDE 3.5.5 that would be helpful.
I thing this is related. (Debian Sarge on x86) Last time, konsole was working but now, it crashes with this: (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1". Thanks, Peter Hello Peter, Does this crash occur on startup? If so, running with valgrind will produce more information. 1. Install valgrind ( "sudo apt-get install valgrind" ) 2. Run Konsole with valgrind ( "valgrind konsole" ) 3. Konsole will start very slowly and a log will be written to the console. If Konsole still crashes, please attach the log to this report. Not a lot I can do with that response I'm afraid. Without further confirmation I will close this for the time being.
