Description Ingo Krabbe 2006-08-05 09:45:31 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Maybe it's my fault but i never got it running, that I would be able to choose the reboot slot from menu.lst that grub should reboot the next time, from kdm.

Actually it is nice that these items from menu.lst are displayed in a menu where I can select from, but actually nothing happens when I do so.

I might have forgotten something or I broke something/somewhere. But if this doesn't work at all there would be a really fast to implement and easy workaround due to the simple structure of grub.

All we need is some output to the reboot command which channel has been selected. Than I could easily write a script that switches the boot channel of grub and switches it back next time.
