Description Richard Hartmann 2006-07-19 16:43:34 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

KDM and various password dialogues show the caps lock warning, while kwallet does not.

I checked https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109212 and https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91970 but it seems to me that they are not duplicate as in kwallet seems to use its own password input function.

If that is the case, one could reduce code duplication while closing this bug :)

Rationale for being a bug, not a wishlist item: This will prevent users from getting the desired result (access to kwallet) without extra effort (realizing that caps lock is on)

In light of the impeding KDE4 release, I am going through all bug reports I am involved in. To the best of my knowledge, this issue is still open.

kwalletd now uses KPasswordDialog and KNewPasswordDialog (I think it already did back in 4.0), so this already is a duplicate for quite some time.
