Description Nicolas Dietrich 2006-07-16 20:57:39 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Not quite sure, where this bug belongs to...

Some programs provide the ability to hide the menubar, e.g. konqueror, kopete. The shortcut ctrl-m works fine there.

Other programs, e.g. konsole, provide the possibility to hide it but don't use the default shortcut.

It would be nice to be able to apply the hide-/show-menubar shortcut on all kde programs at once.

(it's always nice to be able to hide things ;-)

When using MacOS-style menubar, this shortcut could also be used to hide the whole menubar.

Thanks, great KDE-developers!

FYI, Konsole uses a different shortcut because it needs to send Ctrl+something shortcuts to terminal programs (eg, Ctrl+C). I'll retitle this bug so it's a bit clearer what's being requested. I think it probably belongs in kdelibs.
