sorry forgot to tell the version kdetv 0.8.8 kde 3.5.2 I am having the same problem with my new WinTV USB 2. I am using the hardwired connection to the line-in on my sound card and everything is fine but when you exit the audio keeps on playing. I have checked the Mue Mixer on Exit and it has no effect. Also the volume and mute controls on the kdetv window have not effect. I have tried everything including disconnect the hardwire to the sound card and re-installing the hardware with the WinTV USB2 sound source selected. This produces no sound at all. Here is the basic information on my system CPU Information Processor (CPU): Pentium III (Coppermine) Speed: 801.90 MHz Memory Information Total memory (RAM): 249.96 MB Free memory: 3.81 MB (+ 62.51 MB Caches)Disk Information Drives Floppy Drive auto 15.16 GB 16G Media reiserfs 15.16 GB 12.42 GB 24G Media reiserfs 22.69 GB 22.63 GB OS Information OS: Linux 2.6.16.21-0.21-default i686 Current user: root System: SUSE LINUX 10.1 (i586) KDE: 3.5.1 Level "a" After more testing I have found that the problem is there when I log in as root but when I log in as a normal user kdeTV will mute the volume automatically however it still does not release the audio system. Same problem here: In some cases (about 5%) the sound is still playing after closing kdetv. Restarting is not possible (plugin is not available). I found out that the process "kdetv" is left in state "D" (Uninterruptible sleep). So it is still running and only a reboot stops it. kdetv: 0.8.9 KDE: 3.5.5 Kernel: 2.6.19.2-amd64 The KDETv main developer confirmed me by mail that the project is unmaintained since 4 years ago. Closing bug reports as UNMAINTAINED. Regards |
