Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from:    Mandriva RPMs
OS:                Linux

to reproduce:
download ftp://ftp.fi.muni.cz/pub/kde/stable/3.5.3/src/kdepim-3.5.3.tar.bz2 to a temporary location
start ark and open the file using
File->Open
now by left-clicking select the folder "kdepim-3.5.3" inside the ark window
right-click the selected folder "kdepim-3.5.3" and choose "extract"
select a folder to extract to (e.g./home/hajma/Desktop/kontact)
hit "OK"
see the error message

however, if you do not select the "kdepim-3.5.3" folder and hit the extract button instead, all goes ok

there is something suspicious when running ark from konsole:
in the first case I see a line
ark (kdeutils): diskHasSpace() dir: /home/hajma/Desktop/kontact Size: 0
while in the latter this one
ark (kdeutils): diskHasSpace() dir: /home/hajma/Desktop/kontact Size: 59390755

I see this bug too after downloading and opening ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/3.5.5/src/kdebase3.5.5.tar.bz2

Kubuntu 6.10 x86 Ark v2.6.4  from KDE 3.5.5

Closing this one as UNMAINTAINED -- it doesn't apply to KDE4 and there's not going to be a 3.5.11 release.
