There is a bug introduced in 1.3.91 development version of gwenview (was ok in stable version coming with kde 3.5.3), where switching 'fit-to-window' on and off (say, with middle mouse button) leaves you with the fit-to-window zoom percentage, instead of the value set before entering fit-to-window mode (usually 100%).
