Description Sean Mannell 2006-06-26 06:45:17 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux

When adding a new printer, at the "Printer Model Selection" phase, HP is listed twice. The first entry is for "Hewlett Packard", but there are only 4 models shown. Farther down in the list of manufacturers is "HP", and this contains all the rest of the printers. When scrolling down, a user sees the "Hewlett Packard" entry, but the "HP" entry is still below the visible area; so it appears as if there are only 4 printer drivers available for HP printers. All of these models should be under one manufacturer. Personally, I would prefer "Hewlett Packard" as opposed to "HP" to avoid any confusion. Either way, they should definately be in one location.

Maybe this is an Ubuntu problem, because my konstruct compiled sources don't exhibit this behavior. I only have a HP section.
