Description Magnus Hoff 2006-06-02 22:09:57 UTC
Version: rev 547617 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 3.3
OS: Linux

When entering the "Export to Flickr..."-plugin (from digikam), a dialog pops up telling me that I am logged in as myself and that I have the necessary permissions. I am given the option to continue in this way, or to change user and/or permissions.

This is complete nonsense. I (and I guess most others) will only log in as myself (themselves), and I have no problem with having write permissions.

A better user interface is to open the export window completely, and show the information passively in this window. If the user thinks there is an error in this information, s/he could press a "Change..."-button.

It is not possible to bury this information deep enough. When will there ever be need to change the user or the permissions (if they are all right once)?

The plugin window now shows the username at the bottom, can be changed by clicking Login as different user button.
