Hello.

There is a little wish from me. I think it won't be good only for me, but for other people too. The wish: what about a minidisc player support in amaroK? A support like for iPod. I don't have an iPod or mp3 player, but a minidisc player, and it's very annoying to start WinXP every time I want to write something on my minidisc. These players can be connected to a computer via USB, like iPod, and they are very powerful players too. The new HiMD standard allows to store 1 GB music (mp3, wma, wav, atrac3) and data on a disc. I think minidisc players cannot be ignored, like now. It would make amaroK MORE powerful, becouse it would be the FIRST player or/and application that supports minidisc in Linux. Please consider making it. Thanks for reading.

If you meen Sonys NetMD-Players, this might be a problem. As Sony not publishing specifications on there protocols the only way to find out how they transfer music to the MD-Player is reengeneering. You may have a look at http://sourceforge.net/projects/libnetmd They try to do so, but this project is "not actively being developed anymore" (http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1432065&forum_id=310047)
I have a NetMD too, but I don't think that there will be support for this in the future.
By the way. Amarok uses a library for their IPod-Support. The didn't wrote it thereselfs afaik. So I think they won't write a library for NetMD

Hello. Thanks for the info. This is bad that so little amount of people are interested in it. I'll try it, but it won't replace SonicStage. Since you use a NetMD too, would you send me a mail if you get some new info about this MiniDisc business? Thanks.
