Description deepak 2006-05-09 17:24:06 UTC
Version: 1.3.1 (using KDE 3.5.2, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.2-0ubuntu14 dapper)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-22-686

The file listing area of Gwenview (in browse mode) doesn't show files if it can't recognize them as being valid image files. This means that it doesn't list any RAW files in the currently open folder.

If RAW files are not displayed, you can't select them. If you can't select them, how do you use the Kipi RAW Images Batch Converter plugin?!

Either Gwenview should recognize camera raw files and list them or the raw converter plugin should have a 'File Open' dialog allowing for explicit addition of files for conversion.

still present in 1.4.0~debian.1-1

RAW files (mrw's in this case) are shown by digikam, but not be gwenview, imgview or kphotoalbum.

I recommend to add this ability as wish for future versions of gwenview. I would think the standard image viewer should support as much formats as possible. :-)
