Description 81joe81 2006-05-08 19:08:12 UTC
Version: 3.5.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

I have an account on flickr.com, but I can't use it with konqueror: I select an image to upload, I click upload button, but upload does not happen...
An URL appears for some seconds (http://flickr.com/photos_upload_process.gne), then another URL (http://flickr.com/photos_upload_done.gne) and then it returns on the initial page (http://flickr.com/photos/upload), but no one images have been sent. In fact, konqueror does not ask me if I'm sure to send a file, like it happens for uploads with other sites...
It does neither work changing the browser identification

no idea to make it work?
Comment 2 Rutger Claes 2006-10-13 08:04:06 UTC
I have the same problem. With Konqueror 3.5.2 (KDE 3.5.2) Kubuntu packages.
Comment 3 Maksim Orlovich 2006-10-13 23:28:51 UTC
OK, can confirm, and so can Canllaith. Seems like a parser form-association
bug, will try to TC.
Comment 4 Maksim Orlovich 2006-10-13 23:39:12 UTC
Not parser, actually. The problem is that if a file element is hidden, we do not submit it, and they hide the form before submit with our UA string. If you UA-spoof as Safari, it'll upload (but get stuck on the next string)

I'll need to look at the history to figure out why its there and how difficult it is to fix..

Helo:
There hasn't been any feedback since long. I wonder if you still experience this bug. Also could you try with webkit kpart?

Dear user,

KHTML (and KJS) was a long time more or less unmaintained and got removed in KF6.

Please migrate to use a QWebEngine based HTML component.

We will do no further fixes or improvements to the KF5 branches of these components beside important security fixes.

For security issues, please see:

https://kde.org/info/security/

Sorry that we did not fix this issue during the life-time of KHTML.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
