kwin crashes from time to time - it has for as many years as I've used KDE.

The problem is that only an expert will be able to work out how to recover. I have to do it by bringing up konsole from the menu, bringing up kcharselect, and copying-and-pasting "kwin" into the konsole. (Keyboard doesn't seem to work when kwin has crashed).

It would be much better if kded or some other component could auto-detect that kwin has died, and automatically respawn it.
