Subject : CVS: file selection for archiv

Error Class: change-request
Error Location: project management
Priority: low
Bug Description ---------------------------

The custom selection of files that should be added to a CVS archive is
not
very clever.
When I add a new class to my project the header and source files were
not added to the CVS archive automatically. I have to do this on my own.
It is the same with new dialogs.
But the strangest thing is that the html-documentation is added to the
CVS
archive. I understand that it could be useful to add these files to the
distribution (if someone does not have sgml2html). The html
documentation
can be generated automatically by the sgml file so doesn't need to be
part of the CVS archiv.

How to repeat the error -------------------

Bugfix or Workaround ----------------------

Bugfix: change the selection of customly selected files for the CVS
archive in the project management
Workaround: Manual change of the file selection

System Information ------------------------

KDevelop version: 1.2
KDE version: 1.0
QT version: 2.0.2
OS/Distribution: Linux 2.2.13
Compiler: g++

Look at http://www.tortoisecvs.org/ for a good example of how it should be
done. (windows opensource)
Comment 2 Mario Scalas 2003-06-18 23:02:09 UTC
CVS plugin (from current CVS ;-) will now prompt for user action when adding files to /
removing files from the repository.
