Description Shriramana Sharma 2006-02-26 13:35:23 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Currently there is no way to empty Kate's Recent Files history.

As this is a privacy issue, an easy (aka GUI) way to empty the history apart from editing ~/.kde/share/config/katerc must be available, preferably from the Configure Kate menu item.

This request applies to all KDE applications which have a "Recent Files" feature and do not provide an easy way to remove that history. How do I make it apply to all KDE apps in bugzilla?

Also, having a configurable list length would be useful, eg allow up to 20 recently used files to be listed instead of just 10

In KDE 4.4 there is File > Recent Files > Clear List.
So the issue initially reported here is fixed, right?

Ok, given the Clear List in the Recent Files menu, I close this report. If you have still issues in KDE >= 4.5, please discuss it here.
