Description Christian D. 2006-02-21 10:31:46 UTC
Version: 1.2.1 (using KDE 3.5.1, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.1-0ubuntu7 dapper)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-15-686

My workflow is currently harmed by the way akregator opens articles in konqueror. I often read the short description and want to open the complete article in a konqueror tab in the background. The way akregator currently implements this is, to bring the konqueror window to the foreground. I have to middle click the konqueror-title bar everytime to see akregator again, which becomes tedious after a short while.

In the options-dialog there are currently the following options:
Open in tab
Open in inactive tab
Open in external browser

I would like a new option of some kind like this:

Open in inactive external browser

Akregator is the best newsreader I know. This would eliminate the last 'rough edge' it has for me.

I think this isn't an Akregator issue but a wm one. Try to check and change your focus prevention settings from kwin's settings..
