Hello,

I use kopete with jabber.ccc.de and tried to use it with SSL enabled. When I connect to the server a messagebox pops up which says:

The certificate of server jabber.ccc.de could not be validated for account [user]@jabber.ccc.de: The Certificate Authority is invalid.
Do you want to continue?

When I continue, I can caht within Jabber but I donÄt know if SSL works or not. What's wrong there with that validation?

Thanks - and respect to you guys for designing kopete that beautiful!
Pietz

It's a warning that CCC's ssl Certification Authority cert used to sign the ssl cert their jabber server uses is not in the KDE SSL's chain of trust. Either obtain the CCC's CA cert and add it in the Crypto->SSL Signers section of the Konqueror config, or ignore the message permanently.

It's an issue if you want to be sure of the CCC server's identity. This isn't a bug, so i'm closing it.

We appreciate your appreciation.
