Description Janet 2006-02-14 16:34:23 UTC
Version: 0.7.6 (using KDE 3.4.3, Debian Package 4:3.4.3-2 (testing/unstable))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu

I know there is Bug 85633 with the wish to scale the game window and the tiles. Additionally it would be great if kmahjongg could handle bigger tilesets and if the game window would then automatically resize accordingly.

On displays with a huge resolution like 1600x1200 scaled tiles do not look that good, I see that in kshisen (but it's better to have ugly tiles than tiles you cannot see). So if I could use a tileset that does not have the recent metrics of 360x280 but any metrics (with same ratio) you wish (like e.g. 600x467 or even bigger) and the game window would resize accordingly, I guess that would really look nice on bigger displays and make it more playable. If you then drag/draw the window borders to make the window bigger or if you resize it to fullscreen the tiles would of course still be scaled but that wouldn't look that awful as with the small tiles.

This functionality will also be available in the next release for KDE4, so I am grouping this bug with the others that deal with related options (window and tileset scaling.)
