Version:           3.4.0 (using KDE 3.4.0 Level "b" , SUSE 9.3)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.5 20050117 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)

a.) The possibility to mark a particular location in the text of an opened file with ctrl-B in katepart is very useful, however all bookmarked line locations get lost when switching to another file. They should at least be remembered within a particular session of the konqueror.
b.) If I leave the konqueror open, shut down and boot again the konqueror will be reopened automaticlly in the same position with the same directories open, but yet without the expansion state of the directory tree on the left being restored in the way it has been left before rebooting.
s.) Both features would be very useful for viewing and browsing multiple files within a directory hirarchy: file & directory tree on the left; contents of the selected file on the right.

Sorry for answering so late :P These are two different bugs/wishes and you should report them separately. And those bugs even if the appear when using Konqueror they are actually not-Konqueror related but of Katepart and what is now dolphinpart. So I'm closing this bug report, and I suggest you create two separate bug reports for both problems, because I've checked and even after all this years, those two wishes are still not implemented =)

Let us keep this bug report for restoring the state of the file tree expansion only. May report the katepart issue for katepart again as soon as this one is resolved.

Would still be relevant.

a. seems irrelevant to dolphin since it does not embed kpart anymore.
