After upgrading to KDE 3.5 I noticed that sometimes (without any apparent cause), the blue vertical bar on the left of the K Menu which says 'KDE 3.5' is obscured by pinkish rectangles. These are exactly the same width as the vertical bar and appear in the upper part of it only. I'm not using the composite extension.
