This is largely a reawakening of bug# 68637.  KRFB has to constantly poll the entire desktop forcing max CPU load and the result is that things move pretty slowly.  The current version of X.org has the DAMAGE extension would I believe would eliminate this need and improve performance a great deal.  Is there any possibility this might happen?  Is KRFB still not maintained actively?

KRFB isn't being maintained. 

I personally recommend NX.
