It chokes on this file.  I'll attach it in a suplimental post.

I can't upload the pdf because it is too big.

Download it.  It chokes on page 15 or so.  CPU usage goes to 100% and it takes forever to open that page, but it will do it.

I can confirm this too on 3.5 r477777.

Just in case anyone thinks that file is somehow bad, kGhostView opens it fine.
