Description Roland Wolters 2005-10-24 00:42:17 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.92)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

When I deactivate arts inside of kcontrol and then try to activate it again with the kcontrol modul the modul just says that "The soundserver restarts" (or something like that, I have a german system).
The window stays there, and the procent bar is going around and around - if it reaches 100%, it starts again at 0%.
While it tries to restart the server artsd slows down the system every few seconds while eating 100% cpu. The process list shows 0 to 4 artsd in this time.

When I cancel this, sometimes artsd stops to beeing mad, sometimes not.

Used subsystem: Alsa (fixed, not automatically).

THe problem of the cpu hogging is gone - I think this was related to bug 115240 which is solved now.
But there is still the problem that the start-window for the start of the sound system is going round and round with the procent bar.
