Version: 3.2.0 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

If you do a comparison between a file and one stored in a cvs repository, you can select raw view or KomparePart. In both views, you are unable to search for text (ctrl-f) or go to a specific line (ctrl-g). There is probably other stuff that should be included too.
Comment 1 Luke Tucker 2005-09-14 18:49:45 UTC
P.S. In KompartView mode, you cannot even select text to be copied/pasted.
Comment 2 Jens Dagerbo 2005-09-14 20:08:50 UTC
Wish, not a bug.
Comment 3 Paul Fee 2007-05-29 16:16:24 UTC
The above stated wishes are probably for the Kompare project, not KDevelop.

However I'd also like the ability to select/highlight and copy from the KomparePart and Kompare application windows.

Well, we're trying to integrate a diff library including ui into KDevelop4. I'm not sure what state kompare/kde4 has at the moment.
Comment 5 Paul Fee 2007-12-03 18:06:42 UTC
Another wish. Could we have kompare part configuration options, such as "ignore whitespace".

I use KDevelop's editor setup to clean up spaces in files. However I don't want to see these minor changes in the diff viewer.

The standalone kompare program has configuration options. Are the same options available via KomparePart? If so, let's expose them to the user.

this wish really is about kompare, so moving.
Comment 7 Kevin Kofler 2009-01-23 22:31:37 UTC
The KomparePart is indeed missing some of the stuff from the standalone app. The app uses the part and then adds some hardcoded stuff.

But search functionality is also missing in the app, IIRC there's already a wish filed for that one.
