We have an interal ldap address book used by multiple OS and mail clients. Lookups work fine on Mac, Windows and KDE (Linux) but only in certain circumstances.

If I launch kaddressbook, and click on the toolbar button to do an ldap search, it will show all relevant addresses. That is, the ldap query works as expected.

If I add the same ldap as a resource/address book, when doing a search with that resource selected, only some of the entries in the database are returned. That is, only some entries are returned.

I cannot determine what the criteria are for success/failure.

Hello Nigel, can you confirm this bug with KDE 3.5 (preferably 3.5.5)?

The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4.
Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
