Description Martijn Dijksterhuis 2005-08-28 09:35:44 UTC
Version: 0.8 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: Debian stable Packages
Compiler: GCC 3.3.5
OS: Linux

I compiled KMyMoney 0.8 from source and installed it (I needed multiple currency support, Kubuntu does not
go further than 0.6)

I made a mistake when creating a new account (wrong currency; my base currency is TWD, and I needed a GBP account) and wanted to delete the account. However, when right clicking on the account, the "Delete Account" option is grayed out. All other options (except for OFX which is not installed; so that is correct) are available.

Do you have transactions which refer to the account? If so you would need to delete them, or change to split to another account.

Dear Jerry,

Good day!

Thanks for the quick response ! Yes, removing the initial opening balance
transaction from the account then allowed the account to be deleted.

So its not a bug, and probably a feature ;-) Some kind of hint , or offer to
just delete everything would probably be a little clearer.

Keep up the good work, its already an impressive piece of software!

Best regards,
Martijn

We should add a what's this hint to the delete account/category item. Don't know if it works for a menu item though. For now it's closed.
