Akregator is very good at popping up a status box from the kicker when new feeds arrive. However, in this case the pop-up was visible even though the desktop was locked. This could allow an un-authorised person to see the contents of feeds that the user had defined. Notably in my case this was an authorised feed so the pop-up exposed confidential information.

This is a kwin problem I think. Reassigning to kwin.
