Description Jens 2005-08-02 08:14:09 UTC
Version: 3.4.2 (using KDE 3.4.2 Level "a" , SUSE 9.3 UNSUPPORTED)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 20050117 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.4-21.7-default

Hi,

since 3.4.2 Konq cannot enter directories which use square brackets in their name any more. This was not in 3.4.1 and 3.4.0.

To reproduce:
Press F10, enter "[bla]", press ENTER
Konq will create a directory called "[bla]"
Try entering this dir.

Konq will change the location bar but the contents of the main widget will still show the directories of the *current* directory. You can repeat this game indefinitely (re-enter "[bla]"), Konq will not show its contents.
If you omit the *opening* bracket, Konq will work fine - it's apprently only the opening bracket that disturbes it. It does not need to be at the start of the file name either.

You can copy files into "[bla]" with drag and drop, but not see its contents. Please fix this ASAP, it seems to be a serious bug.

Thank you! ;)

Jens
