If you have some article selected you can go to menu Article > Assign Tag to and select and existing tag. I think it would be very convenient for the user if there was additional option at the end of menu New Tag... which would open a simple dialog to enter tag name, create that tag and assign the new tag to selected article.  The same option should also be in the contect menu for the article.

As Tagging is disabled and "unsupported", and the UI is not finished anyhow, I close all bugs regarding the tagging UI.
