Hi there,

I know the current scrollback behavior is the result of some bugreports and wishes.
But to me, the old behavior was better although it wasn't perfect.
Indeed, I would prefer "clearscreen clears screen *and* scrollback", which is the opposite of how it works now.

So, I propose to make it selectable in the konsole settings, then everybody will be happy.

Greetings to all the team who does really great work

I vote for a configuration-option too.
The current behaviour is very annoying.

I personally would find both options useful under different circumstances. Confirming.
Comment 3 Markus Näher 2007-02-10 12:13:42 UTC
I have some additional proposal:
It would be nice if that option is selectable per tab, not per window and if the state of every open tab is seperately saved on KDE's "save session" procedure.

And, of course, if there is a setting it should by get/set-able via dcop.

Implemented in KDE 4. Accessible via menu or Ctrl+Shift+X shortcut.
